Program Overview This program primarily focuses on IC messaging applications, along with various support/service applications. Performs sustainment and development for various ITS applications, ensuring ongoing support for critical tools and systems. About The Role Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to support an Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the orchestration, sustainment, and evolution of a portfolio of mission applications and services. This position requires experience with Linux and Windows System Administration in a classified environment, with a focus on maintaining and optimizing systems, supporting database administrators, and ensuring applications remain operational and secure. Key Responsibilities: System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers, virtual servers, and application software. Support system upgrades and PostgreSQL and Oracle database administration tasks.
O&M Management: Oversee Operation & Maintenance (O&M) tasks, ensuring that application performance, patching, and customer support are continuously monitored and maintained.
Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve network/application issues, and recommend corrective actions. Provide Tier 2/3 support to government customers and project team members.
Documentation: Develop and maintain critical system and application documentation, such as System Administration Guides, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Installation Procedures.
After-Hours Support: Be available for after-hours tasks, including system restarts, application upgrades, hardware maintenance, and more, as needed.
Security Compliance: Ensure all systems and applications are up-to-date with patches to address bugs, security vulnerabilities, and maintain the currency of technologies to support or renew existing Authorization to Operate (ATO).
Change Management & Testing: Participate in change management processes, including patch compliance and Information Assurance Validation Testing.
Qualifications Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications: Education:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related experience; or Master's degree with 5 years of related experience; or PhD with 2 years of related experience.
An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
System Administration Experience: Proven experience installing, configuring, and managing Linux and Windows operating systems in a classified environment.
Certifications:
DoD 8570 Certification in a primary OS (Windows, Linux).
Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or a similar security certification.
Security Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access and pass a polygraph.
Work Availability: Ability to work after hours and weekends, as needed for deployments and maintenance tasks.Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with the following skills will be given preferential consideration: Certifications: Additional Linux and Windows System Administration certifications.
Messaging Experience: Experience with DoDIIS Messaging.
Database Management: Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle database administration in a classified environment.
Cloud & Virtualization Experience: Experience with C2S/AWS environments and VMware products.
Security & Hardening: Solid understanding of RMF and STIGs for system hardening and vulnerability remediation.
Scripting Experience: Familiarity with PL/SQL, UNIX shell scripting (k, c, bash), and Python scripting for automation and system management.
DIA Systems Knowledge: Experience with DIA systems and familiarity with DODIIS security/builds.
Application & Middleware Knowledge: Experience with WebLogic 12C, OpenShift4, CI/CD pipelines, Oracle Fusion Middleware, and API Services (DPaaS).
Security Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph is highly desired.
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range Details Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
