Job Description
Position: Solaris Systems Administrator
Location: San Diego, CA - on-site 9/80 schedule Clearance: an active Secret security clearance
Compensation range: $145K-$170K W2, based on experience and qualifications Responsibilities: Design, implement, configure and maintain Solaris systems for mission-critical applications Perform system architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for optimal system performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Solaris systems with other infrastructure components Develop and maintain documentation for system configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures Technical Skills: Operating Systems: Solaris 10 and 11 Hardware: Sun/Oracle servers, storage, and networking equipment, including SPARC and x86 architectures Virtualization: Oracle VM Server for SPARC, Oracle VM Server for x86 Storage: SAN, NAS, and DAS storage solutions, including Oracle ZFS and Veritas Volume Manager Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols Scripting: Shell scripting, Perl, and Python Tools: Oracle Enterprise Manager, Solaris Management Console, and other system management tools Requirements BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience and 10 years of experience REQUIRED Current Secret Security Clearance REQUIRED Sec + or within 90 days of start
