Position Overview:
  • Reports To: Division Director, Food and Nutrition Services (matrix to Hospital COO).
  • Direct Reports: Yes.
  • Location: Hospital department/campus.
  • Travel: Up to 25%.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations for patient and non-patient food services, employee cafeteria, catering, and more. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations (e.g., TJC, OSHA).
  • Quality & Service: Promote consistent, high-quality service while ensuring sanitation and patient satisfaction. Lead initiatives to enhance the patient experience.
  • Staff Leadership: Supervise and develop departmental staff through training, competency assessment, and performance reviews. Drive employee engagement.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure efficient purchasing. Optimize productivity and compliance with vendor contracts.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (required).
  • Experience: Food or hospitality management (required); hospital/healthcare knowledge (preferred).
  • Certifications: Food Protection Management Certification (required); Registered/Licensed Dietician or Certified Dietary Manager (preferred).
Skills:
  • Leadership, communication, decision-making, and adaptability.
  • Strong financial and operational management abilities.
