Job Title: Bilingual Financial Controller

Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 annually + Benefits
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with a strong operations background and fluency in both English and Chinese/Cantonese for effective communication with clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance. This role requires a professional who can manage the company's financial operations while liaising with clients, vendors, and internal teams, particularly in operations management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Prepare financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analysis on a regular basis.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
- Collaborate with operations teams to align financial objectives with company goals, driving efficiency and profitability.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Conduct variance analysis to monitor performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas of improvement.
- Handle tax preparation and liaise with external auditors.
- Lead financial discussions with clients and stakeholders in both English and Chinese/Cantonese.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections to support business growth.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, with a strong background in operations.
- Fluency in both English and Chinese/Cantonese (written and spoken) is required for client communications.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms).
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage a team and work cross-functionally with operations and executive teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, vendors, and internal teams effectively.
