Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk provides financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring the company receives payments for goods and services. They will be responsible for managing proper records by transactions, posting receipts, and resolving discrepancies according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicates with customers and igus employees by phone, in person or via e-mail, with respect to ACH payments, checks and invoices including sales tax and shipping related payments in a courteous and professional manner.
Accurately and timely post remittance advices to invoices, add notes and other pertinent information into computer under the customer accounts, in accordance with company processes and procedures.
Handling accounts receivable transactions and processing incoming payments in accordance with the company's financial policies and procedures.
Verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording data related to accounts receivables.
Ensuring accuracy and efficiency in operations by reconciling the accounts receivable ledger.
Verifying that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Resolving any discrepancies related to billing issues.
Assisting in resolving any issues related to billing or payments.
REQUIREMENTS:
Accounting Degree preferred plus 3-5 years hands-on accounting experience or equivalent years' experience.
MS Office with some experience with excel spreadsheets.
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.
Ability to use 10-key calculator for a variety of accounting functions
Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment, work independently, self-starter, energetic.
