Our client, a leading entity in the financial services sector, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in Charlottesville, VA. This role is crucial to the finance department, providing essential support to the accounts team. Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Charlottesville, VA
Pay Range: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on skills and interview performance
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and promptly process accounts payable transactions.
- Match invoices with purchase orders to verify order approval, pricing, quantities, and receipt of goods/services.
- Organize, calculate, and enter inventory invoices and related transactions daily.
- Collaborate with staff and vendors on credits, returns, and variances in quantity and price.
- Prepare payment runs for weekly check printing, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
Requirements:
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
