Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an accounts payable clerk with 0-2 years experience.
This position is responsible for reconciling, finding discrepancies, paying invoices, recording, and processing field checks. Maintaining day-to-day contact with field locations and various corporate departments. The Accounts Payable Clerk's duties must be performed consistent with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions and Competencies:
• Process a high volume of invoices and manual checks
• Make sure the company is taking the appropriate credits and discounts.
• Research and problem solve accounts payable issues.
• Verify vendor statements and handle all assigned vendor correspondence.
• Respond to telephone calls from vendors and employees regarding payment status of invoices.
• Assist with bank reconciliation
• Assist in month-end close and month-end invoice accruals.
• Assist in preparation of 1099's.
• Assist with monthly reports.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
Requirements:
• Entry Level Accounting
• Preferred 0-2 years experience
• Must have Diploma or GED
• Have strong data entry skills.
• Excellent customer service skills, including phone skills.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
