Accounts Payable / Accounting Clerk

Overview: This position is responsible for billing our customers for products and/or services, and assisting the Accounting Team as needed. This position focuses on Accounts Payable.

Responsibilities:

Accounting Clerk duties:
- Scan, route, or enter various payables according to business unit and appropriate manager.
- Organize, process payables, and create disbursements according to payment terms in accounting software.
- Review vendor information for accuracy.
- Reconcile bank accounts in various datasets.
- Respond to inquiries quickly, accurately, and courteously.
- Obtaining and maintaining appropriate vendor contact information.
- Processing and invoicing various shipments.
Customer Service Specialist duties:
- Answer customer calls and redirect to correct department for corrective action.
- Knowledgeable about the Company's products and programs, and proficient in the use of systems utilized to manage customer accounts.
- Use de-escalation techniques to provide satisfactory resolution to issues presented by dissatisfied customers.
- Process accounts receivable and assist with resolution of issues.
- Must be able to multi-task in a busy office setting.
- Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary.
- Communicates effectively and candidly - communicates clearly and directly, approachable, relates well to others, engages people and helps them understand change, provides and seeks feedback, articulates clearly and actively listens.
- Drive and/or assist with the monthly close process to include generating and mailing statements.
- Perform other duties or special projects as requested by management.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
One (1) year of relevant experience preferred.
